Eureka High School Hosts 2nd Annual Autism Awareness Walk/Run

The Service Learning EAST Class at Eureka High School, organized and hosted the 2nd annual Autism Awareness Walk/Run, with all donations benefiting Humboldt County's F.A.A.N. (Families Advocating for Autism awareness Now). This event was created last year by EHS student, Aly Thompson, and continued this year by senior Katie Conley. Katie and her team set their goal for donations at $10,000 ($3,000 more than last year). Kaileigh Williams of FAAN reported that this year's total is $12,948.76! Team "Aidan and Brayden" collected the most pledges with $4,136.25. Participant Emily Lewis collected the most as an individual, with $2,810. The most laps completed was 51 laps by Eric Montgomery.
